I will start with DINE! My favorite restaurant is a great kept secret. Red Rock Falls is located in Slippery Rock, PA. It is family owned and has some of the best dishes you could ask for. Red Rock Falls is a transformed school house with charm and class. It is a BYOB restaurant, so plan ahead! My go-to order is French Onion Soup, a Tortellini Falls Salad (a chicken salad with fresh tortellii and warm ranch) and whatever looks best on their dessert platter. You get to see the dessert options before choosing, but regardless of what you pick, you will not be disappointed!
Next, let's talk WINE! The are tons of wineries in the area now, but I am partial to just one, well two, but they're neighbors. Volant Winery and Knockin' Noggin' are two places you can take your favorite wine-o and keep them happy all day! Not to mention, the wineries are surrounded by cute stores and markets. I am a sweet wine lady, which is why Knockin' Noggin' is at the top of my list. It is a cidery with some of the most delicious flavors you could imagine. My favorite is their cranberry hard cider. They have lots of great flavors from every variation of apple to seasonal favorites like chocolate peanut butter! Volant winery is their sister winery and just up the road. They have a great assortment of sweets and dries and everything in between! You can find live music and good vibes at both of these locations. Definitely a stop you will not want to miss!
Last but not least, BREW! Breweries are popping up all over butler county! IPA's, Stouts, and Ales, what else could you every ask for? I do have a favorite, though. North Country Brew Pub is near and dear to my heart with their ever changing beer options, incredible food (mostly the Leroy Brown burger) and live music & fun events. Some of their classic brews include Palio IPA, Station 33 Firehouse Red and the Stinky Hippie. They also have seaonal brews that leave you wanting more. A couple neat facts about the North Country Brew Pub is that all of the incredible woodworking was handmade locally and that the building itself was the coolest place to have your funeral in the 1800's and early 1900's! Stop by and grab a beer and check out open mic night!
I hope some of my reccomendations will help you out during your stay at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park™ at Kozy Rest!
