Our 5-Day Itinerary to Jellystone Park™ at Kozy Rest
Day 1: Spend a Night by the Campfire
Nothing says camping like making smores around a campfire! Bask in the glow of the fire with the other campers when you spend your first night here with a night by our campfire!
Day 2: Enroll in a Cornhole Tournament
Cornhole is the perfect easy yet challenging activity we have here at Kozy Rest. While tossing a bean bag into a hole 15 feet away seems deceptively easy, it can be quite hard against the right opponent leading to really fun matchups. You can check our event calendar to see when we host cornhole tournaments so you can join in on the fun.
Day 3: Visit Living Treasures Animal Park
Wolves, lemurs, zebras, bears, and a host of other animals are congregated at Living Treasures Animal Park in Moraine, just 22 miles from Kozy Rest Kampground. Your entire family will enjoy seeing these incredible animals, including babies! Show the kids something they will never forget by taking them to visit the petting zoo, where they can have a hands-on experience with goats, pigs, miniature horses, and wooly lambs. Then tour through the rest of the park, viewing tigers, kangaroos, peacocks, camels, and baboons. You’ll see animals from every corner of the world at this amazing park.
Day 4: Day trip to Downtown Pittsburgh
The city of Pittsburgh is objectively one of the most underrated in the United States. The “Steel City” sits on the confluence of the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers adding to the city’s natural beauty and charm. Depending on when you visit, you can: catch a Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, or Penguins game in stunning downtown arenas. PNC Park is consistently highly rated for its history, design, and stunning views and would be the perfect place to take the family out for a day game.
If you are a big foodie, the city is known for its Eastern European-inspired specialties such as pierogies and kielbasa and the city is home to several high-profile restaurants.
Day 5: Dominate at Mini-Golf
As your vacation winds down, you need one last adventure to conquer before everyone is ready to go back home. We have a competitive 18-hole mini-golf course at the park, which is the perfect way to get the last bit of energy out of everyone without needing to prepare beforehand!
