Remember learning basic manners as a kid, like say please and thank you, don’t talk with your mouth full and hold the door open for others? Well, at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone ParkTM at Kozy Rest, we have high expectations for everyone to be on his/her best behavior and use good manners. In fact, we ask that all campers follow a few rules and show basic campground etiquette during their stay so everyone can have a fun, safe and enjoyable trip.
Here are a few things to keep in mind during your visit with us:
Visitors – All visitors must register at the office. After paying the day pass fee, a visitor’s pass will be provided for their car. They must leave the park by 10 p.m. However, if they’re having fun and don’t want to leave, you can stay the night in a tent for an additional fee
Pets – We love our furry friends, but we ask that you keep them on short leashes. Also, pick up our complimentary doggie bags for easy clean-up!
Quiet Hours – We want campers to be well rested so they can enjoy all of our great activities throughout their stay. If you’re hanging around the campfire a little longer, we ask that you keep the volume down. Quiet hours for everyone’s benefit are from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m.
Bicycles and Motorized Vehicles – Biking is a great way to see the entire campground and enjoy our trails. We ask that kids 12 and under wear a helmet. For the safety of our campers, bikes have to be parked when the streetlights come on. Although motorized vehicles are NOT permitted throughout the campground, motorcycles can be ridden in and out of the park.
Here are some tips and tricks that other campers have let us in on:
We’ve always taught our kids to never walk through someone else’s site.
Always respect others as you would like to be respected.
Visit our website for a complete list of campground courtesies and guidelines. Also, feel free to stop by the office before, during or after your visit should you have any questions or a new tip about campground etiquette.
On behalf of the entire Jellystone Park at Kozy Rest staff, we look forward to seeing you this camping season!
