Exercise While Camping

When you head out on vacation or a weekend trip, you may think your regular exercise routine has to take a break, too. However, a camping getaway can actually be a great place for a fun workout!

Whether you’ve been working hard on your summer body throughout the year, lead an active lifestyle or are just looking to incorporate more activity into your daily routine, Yogi Bear’s Jellystone ParkTM at Kozy Rest can support your healthy choices! There are plenty of ways for you and your friends and family to stay active while visiting the campground.

 

  1. Take your usual workout routine outside! Whether you’re a runner or biker, take advantage of all of the beautiful trails around the campground. If you’re a “yogi,” add your mat to your packing list so you can connect with nature during each pose.
  2. Shake up your workout routine and get your heart rate up by enjoying some of the amenities at the campground. Take a few laps in our swimming pool, grab some neighbors for a pickup basketball game on our half court space or try out one of our four-wheel bike rentals. Or you can check our newest addition to the campground, gaga ball!
  3. You can even burn some calories when playing on the playground with the kids, walking the family pet in the dog park, enjoying a game of shuffleboard, mini golf or you can rent bikes and go for a ride around the campground!

 

Exercising while camping will not only keep you active and healthy but also give you a chance to enjoy an extra marshmallow around the campfire. After all, this is still your vacation! We want you to enjoy yourself and your time away from home.
