Spring

Springtime is the start of our season here at Jellystone Park™ at Kozy Rest, but it can often be a cold season until Memorial Day! It is always a good idea to check the weather forecast before your trip, but be sure to pack long sleeve shirts/pants, hand warmers, and comfortable shoes.

Essentials to Pack:

  • Bedding, pillows, towels, bath mat & toiletries
  • Long sleeve shirts, quick-dry hiking pants, and sweaters
  • DVDs

Summer

Summertime is the peak season here in Pittsburgh, and thankfully it is nice and warm out! With the warm weather comes more outdoor activities, but also bugs, UV rays, and sunlight! Make sure to bring clothes that are breathable, shoes that are good for hiking and running, and plenty of sunscreen and bug spray so that your skin is unassailed while you are here.

Essentials to Pack

  • Bedding, pillows, towels, bath mat & toiletries
  • sunscreen
  • bug spray
  • tennis and hiking shoes along with flip flops
  • Water bottles that insulate well
  • t-shirts and shorts
  • hats, sunglasses, and portable shade

Fall

Fall is when we start to wind things down, and the weather turns from hot to cool. This season isn’t quite cold but emphasizes the need to dress in layers. Start with t-shirts and shorts and make sure you can throw on a sweater or pair of pants should the wind take hold or the temperature drop.

Essentials to Pack

  • Bedding, pillows, towels, bath mat & toiletries
  • hiking shoes
  • sweaters, long sleeve shirts, pants
  • Full-length socks and tennis shoes
  • Big blanket
